1st Dentist Visit!

Ethan was so brave for his first trip to the dentist! We really prepped him for this for a while. We read a few books from the library and talked about what would happen there. Once there and in the chair he was a bit tight lipped but no crying or whining at all!He even did the whole spitting in the little sink with out even being prompted. He received an A+ check up! A perfect mouth and set of teeth!

Ice Cream Festival 09'

Well, I know everyone knows that "I" LOVE ice cream! So we just had to go to this festival. It was so fantastic! $5 admission gets you "All you can eat" ice cream. I am pretty sure the orange sherbet was Ethan's favorite. I t was such a nice day for it too. Ethan enjoyed himself on the playground , in the bouncy house, on the playground again.................and having his hamburger!

Swim Time!

Well, so we thought it was going to be time for swimming. With the weather not cooperating so much these days, the pool is pretty cold! But Ethan and Daddy did attempt to swim a couple of times so far.

Davis's Farmland

On Memorial day we took a trip to Davis's Farmland. They had their Construction Exp. going on, It was so right up Ethan's alley! It was such a nice day too! Very warm and sunny. This place is so great for his age group. There is so many activities for them to run wild with their imaginations.

There were a lot of animals there and some of them even roam freely.

I am pretty sure the one of the other highlights of the day(besides th tractors) was the spray grounds. Ethan turned into a nut once he got in there. He was running around in circles in there!

The day ended on a tractor , of course! He didn't want to leave this thing and threw a huge fit!

Outdoor Fun

We have been visiting a lot of local playgrounds. Ethan loves to be independent and play on everything he can. He climbs all over the place.

Hoppy Easter!

Ethan was actually ok with the Easter Bunny. He didn't want to sit on his lap but, he did give him knuckles and sit next to him. Aiden was good about it too. Totally expected him to cry.

Ethan did really well this year coloring eggs. He was a "little" more careful. He did most of them all by himself with just a little help getting them out of the cups.

Ethan left some carrots and water and........his wee little wheel barrow out for the easter Bunny. In return the Easter Bunny left him a big boy wheel barrow overflowing with treats. He wheeled it into the living room but, didn't quite make it before he just about tipped the entire thing right over. It was filled with candy chocolate eggs, chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip fun snacks, Billy Bob the goat ( he specifically asked for) Tow Mater pillow, summer clothes, match box cars and a carrier, baseball glove and ball, etc!

A Taste Of Spring

Last Sunday was such a nice day..FINALLY! We went to River bend Farm and went on a nature walk and had a picnic. It was also the sugaring season.(They make their own maple syrup) It was so nice to be outside for a long period of time. We just so happened to see Santa Claus on our walk too! He talked to Ethan and asked him how he liked everything he got for Christmas. It really was Santa...................his post was the Emerald Square Mall!

This also happens to be a favorite spot for me to take really great pictures!

Playing in the Snow!

The last snow storm we had was actually better to play in. It was a little warmer out and no wind. Ethan and Dave built a couple of snowmen and Dave tried to make an enormous snowball!

Childrens Museum

We took a trip to the Providence Children's Museum for some family time and fun. There was so many cool things there for Ethan to explore. Everything was hands on learning. There was the water room where you can dam up the water or roll balls in and tools to pour water into.

Of course, the Construction Zone was huge hit....can't go wrong with Trucks and rocks and cranes and bridges!

There was an old ship to explore, horns to blow, blocks to build, bones to feel and mines to mine! Then we finished with a collage craft.

I'd say he had fun...............Crashed on the way home!

Yes, another 6 months has flown right by!!And yes, Ethan is right in the middle of the TERRIFIC 2's!!! ( rigggggggggggghht) Seems he has learned so much in just 6 months. He is such a jibber jabber now. He repeats everything and even comes up with words and sentences that I have no idea where he got them from. He has become a picky eater..........wants to watch TV all day.....(Dora, Diego or Little Einsteins)....... He is a very big protector of his baby brother.....and has become either a show off or super shy for visitors.We try to keep him involved in things as much as winter will allow. He attends story times at the library, a playgroup, school(daycare 1x/week), an occasional play date.....He really does play great with other children...........wow! Can't believe that the next age milestone that we report on he will most likely be in preschool!

Happy Valentines Day!

Ethan had fun making his Valentines for daycare. We had pails and shovels (on the shovels , we wrote "I Dig You") We put little treat bags inside each one.
Can you feel the LOVE??!! Ethan was reading his card to his brother...................Valentine's Day was spent just hanging out at home as a family. Later on we just went out to dinner.

Winter Time Fun

Oh, the joy of winter!! All the bundling up and preparation for the 30 minutes they spend outside. Ethan really does not like the cold, he will go out but for a short time when he asks to come in because he is cold. He does have fun while out there though.

Ethan loves to go sledding. He likes to pull Dave around too, well at least try!

Big Boy Room Part 2

Ethan is now FULLY in his big boy room/bed!!! Yay!! He reached this milestone using a sticker chart. He really loves his room now. He will go up there and play or just sit on the floor or in his bed and look at books. We are so proud of him!!

Christmas 08'

This Christmas was so special for us now being a family of 4!! We of course, had a lot of running to do to see family and friends. But we made it through and it was all worth it. This year Ethan was so much more excited. He wanted to help wrap presents, put them under the tree and even pick out presents for others. He then became obsessed with the whole present thing. Well, what kid wouldn't when you have like 4-5 Xmas's!! He had to help everyone open their presents like they were his. He would then throw it down and continue on to the next. On Xmas Eve he left cookies and egg nog for Santa.

Ethan got a lot of TOYS!! He loves all his trucks and tractor though................

We have been working on Ethan's "Big Boy" room for a while now. It is not quite finished yet. I just need to add the finishing touches now, all the decorating. And, of course, it is the truck theme!

Thanksgiving 08

We had Thanksgiving at our house like we have for the past few years. We like to get a lot of the cutting out of the way the night before. Ethan was the big helper this year. He helped with the potatoes, squash, and the beans.

Halloween Festivities

This Halloween We had some fun things we did for the holiday. Ethan and Mommy made a fun Halloween project. Ethan made a Frankenstein puppet and Mommy made a Bat headband for trick or treating.
We also, painted some of our smaller pumpkins.....................

Then for the day before he dressed up as an Old Navy Sales Associate! And we carved a Jack-O-Lantern .

Then for the big night he was all dressed up as the cutest little Frankenstein ever! We went trick-or -treating and Ethan thought he was supposed to go into the house. He just wanted to go in everyones house. We had a fun night seeing all the other kids running around and Ethan was so excited this year. He was not the biggest fan of having to put the costume on like 4 times.

On Friday..October 17, 2008, Ethan was in a cute kid contest. He came in 2nd!! He really was so cute. He was a bit shy but that was to be expected. We had waited for like 1.5 hrs until it was his turn so he was getting tired. Then when we went onto stage he just wanted to look at the trophies. He was waving to Daddy and his brother from up on stage. He now moves onto the States which is in April.

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we all went to a farm to get pumpkins. Ethan seemed to love all the pumpkins. We went on a tractor ride to the corn field. They had a huge corn maze. Ethan was the leader in the maze and kept taking us off trail. We pretty much went in a big circle and only found 1 checkpoint. He still had fun and wanted to stay in there until he realized we could go back on the tractor. It was such a nice day for walking the fields.

DPW Day

On Saturday, we took Ethan to Worcester's Department of Public Works day. It was so up his alley! Every truck and tractor and other machinery imaginable was there. Kids were allowed to go up inside and explore them all. They could sit and touch all the buttons and blow the horns. He was a bit reluctant at first but after the first one he was just fine and wanted to keep going in them.

Woodstock Fair

Every year we go to the Woodstock fair..Ethan is now at the age where he can enjoy everything. We went on a Friday that way it wasn't so busy. It was nice and warm out and actually it was our 1st outing as a family of FOUR!! We got to see a lot of animals....some tractors....Ethan explored the hay maze....watched the go karts, and a crash!

Checking out the chickens, turkeys, rabbits...etc. It was rather noisy in there with the roosters crowing!

After having some dirt delivered to our house, Ethan just had to get his hands on it. He grabbed his shovel and wheel barrow and went to work. He was moving the dirt little by little to the back of the driveway. He was the big helper with Daddy!

Big Brother!

Ethan is now a Big Brother. He is so sweet with his brother Aiden. He likes to kiss his lips , cheeks, hands , and feet. He even tells me when to kiss him. He is still adjusting a bit to not being able to climb on him and to be gentle with him but has been very good overall.

I look forward to them growing up close and becoming great friends!

On Sunday August 17, 2008 we had Ethan's 2nd birthday party. We had a a whole truck and construction theme this year. It was such a nice day, couldn't have asked for better. The whole day was so fun.

Ethan had fun playing with friends in the sandbox, in his playhouse, in the pool and seeing his family.On Tuesday August 19, 2008, his real birthday, we had his favorite meal. Kielbasa, cheesy rice and wax beans. We gave him a present from us and then had some ice cream cake. Tomorrow he will get an even bigger present!! He will be a BIG BROTHER!!

More Summertime Fun

Ethan decided one night he wanted to wear his swim trainer around the house. He doesn't really wear it in the pool but wanted to wear it then. And of course his beach hat that he loves!! He looks like a little muscle man.........
Last week a traveling circus came to town. We had been telling Ethan about it beforehand and all he wanted to see was ELEPHANTS. We got there waited in the line to enter the big tent. The show had trick dogs, a clown, trapeze artist, contortionist..................NO ELEPHANTS!! He was not happy and still has a problem that they weren't there.

1st Big Boy Haircut

On June 27, 2008...........Ethan got his 1st haircut. Well, I did cut the back once, just a small trim. But this was at a salon. We went to Snip Its. As you can see he was not all that thrilled. He was not fond of being strapped into the chair and the water spray. He kept trying to duck out of the woman's way. They tried a kids video and singing and he still just wanted to sit w/me. He did make it through though. It came out sooo HANDSOME!

When he was all done he got to get his certificate, a prize and lollipop! He was happy then...

Memorial Day at the Zoo

On May 26, 2008, we spent the day at Southwicks Zoo. It was such a nice day there. Ethan loved all the animals at the zoo. Especially the birds that were whistling and talking back at him. For pretty much most of the day he wanted to be Mr. Independent and not be in his stroller at all. He walked. We saw monkeys, deer, birds, the elephant and giraffe and a lot of others. We also took a train ride through the forest to see some wildlife.

Ethan loved feeding the goats. He was a little skeptical at first but, after I did it then he tried. He was chasing them around trying to feed them all.

Probably his favorite part of the day was the rides. I didn't think he was going to go on by himself but, he got right on and then when it was done, he didn't want to get off. He rode on the cars, the bears that go up in the air and on the carousel.

Well, Spring has arrived. There was one day that was warm and we finally got to spend a good deal of time outside. Was nice to see Ethan get out in the fresh air and run. He played with his cousin and played with trucks in the dirt!!

Ethan also found a furry friend who actually ROLLED him in the grass. It was so cute, his hat got knocked right of his head!

Easter 2008

This Easter ....Ethan actually got to color eggs for himself. He was very excited to do it too. He thought it was "funny" to toss the eggs into their cups so that the dye splashed up on all of us!

The Easter Bunny stopped by of course! Ethan was so excited to have fishies in his Easter wheel barrow!! He also got a bunny , coloring book, socks, yard tools, etc.All in all Easter was a busy day with church and all of the family to see and of course Easter dinner.

Fun in the Snow

Ethan just loves to be outside, whether it is freezing cold out or not. He really loves the snow!! Not that he can move all that well in all his snow gear but he gets around just fine...a few falls here and there.

He just loves to go FAST in his sled!! The faster you go the more he giggles, it is so funny!

Everyone knows how much Ethan likes to help. Well..............he even wanted to shovel the snow. All by himself!!

Christmas 2007

This Christmas..Ethan is 16 months old. It was so much fun to watch him open presents. (even though on some he liked the box better) We could see the excitement in his eyes as he played with his new toys. I would have to say that the "vacuum" was a favorite! Go figure. The holidays were a very tiring time for Ethan but very enjoyable at the same time.
As soon as we put him on his 4-wheeler...................he pushed the button and was off! We didn't have to show him what to do. Well, he did crash the wall. I guess he still needs to learn the steering part.

Also, .....................notice the Bell..............he wore the bell almost every day up to Christmas!! So cute, at least we knew where he was all the time.

Reading is Fun

Ethan has become such a book connoisseur. He just loves his books!! Everyday when he wakes up he goes right into his book basket to start the day off. When you sit on the floor he grabs one and curls right up in your lap to hear a story. We have to constantly keep updating his library.

Halloween 2007

Ethan really didn't have a problem with being in his Monkey costume at all. He even used a real banana. Even though it didn't last all that long. (he ended up eating it the three times he dressed up) Mommy LOVES Halloween..............so I think Ethan will really be into it as he grows up as well.

Ethan liked his first time trick or treating. He got Mommy and Daddy some good candy...hahahaha. He held his own bag and picked out his own treats. We did not stay out long....he loved watching all the older kids and all the lights of the night.We visited with all the family (Grandma's, Grandpa, Uncle's and Aunt).
Halloween was a whole day for the Vassar family!!

Fall into Fall!!

Ahhh, Autumn.......................Ethan is now 14 months old. Walking all over the place and into everything imaginable!! As long as the weather is sunny and not too chilly we are outside either going for a walk or playing in the leaves. He just looks forward to being outside....he hears "outside" and lights up!!

End of Summer Fun

We have been having some fun in these last few weeks. Since the weather is continuing to cooperate we have definitely taken advantage of it.
We have visited the park in Uxbridge where Ethan had a play date , which he totally enjoyed. Sharing wood chips and animal crackers..What fun!!

We spent some time at the reservoir ........soaked up some sun and threw rocks in the water. Ethan could have spent the day there playing with the rocks and dirt.

Also, spent some time at the beach.......................mostly ate sand and threw it ..but hey.....the beach is free now, after season!!!

First Steps!!

On Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007(sorry , the first time I typed the wrong date in)................Ethan took 4 steps!! YAY!! We were just practicing walking around the house with me holding his hands and when he was standing there by himself.......I just just asked him to walk to me and HE DID!! Since then he has done it maybe about a dozen times and has been getting braver about trying it off the furniture. Any day ........................he will be running around the house!!

Here it is!!! This video was taken on Wednesday October 3......so he is getting the hang of it much better since the day he first took his steps.

Ethan is 1 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is just amazing how fast a year goes by..... Ethan had a pool/BBQ party. The theme was Elmo.....of course!! He had 2 cakes....one big one with Elmo on it and a personal sized cake just for him to get his hands into. And..that he did!! At first he was a little skeptical ..but it didn't take long before he had that cake torn into pieces and all over his face. Red frosting everywhere!! But hey..you only turn 1 once.....

Ethan celebrated his special day with a lot of family and friends and he opened so many presents( well I opened a great deal of them)................ It was a very nice day and by the end he was exhausted.

Summer Sillies

Ethan has certainly been letting the silly side of himself come out a lot these days...........the closer and closer we get to the 1 year mark, he just amazes us. He is now walking with the help of his push cart toy...............he likes to be chased while crawling and he laughs so hard. And we may be seeing a lot more teeth in his mouth by his birthday!! ( teething = not so SILLY)

11 Months Old!!

Big Trouble Maker ...................................

Oh Boy!!! Now that Ethan is crawling and standing on everything..he is a very busy boy. The mischievous side of his personality has surfaced. Turn around for a second and he will find trouble anywhere. Be it taking every single last wipe out of the box to spraying the bedroom with powder, and now he has decided he can rush up the stairway fast as lightening. No Fear!!

This week there was a lot of first experiences for Ethan.....................................

First time to Boston!
It was a steamy day but, that was ok seeing where it was supposed to be raining! Ethan liked all the boats and sounds.....

...to the New England Aquarium

Ethan loved to look at all the fish swimming in the great big tank in the center. He was trying to touch them all. The penguins were also a big hit. He got to spend the day with his cousin and other family as well.

.......to the Beach

Ethan's first time to the beach was great!! We spent the day in Point Judith, RI. He loved the sand..of course it ended up in his mouth ...behind his ears and rubbed all over his face. He also tried to eat his first rock there. We brought him down to the water and it was a go!! He wanted to go right in even with as cold as the water was. He liked the waves crashing in on his feet. He screamed when we tried to walk away. An instant Beach Bum!! Wonder where that comes from..............................

POOL TIME!!

Summer is here!! Yay!!

Ethan got to go in the pool for the first time the other day.............Natural born fish I think. He loved it!! He kicks his feet and splashes with his hands. He is pretty brave in there, he wants to just take right off. We started him off in his little pool for a bit then he was right in the big pool. He was dunking his face and the top of his head under the water and laughing.

Soon enough he will being doing laps around the pool all on his own!!

10 Months Old!!

So much has changed in just 1 month!! Yes... Ethan is now CRAWLING!! It was just all of a sudden....one day he just decided he was going to do it and did a few steps and in just 3 days...he is all over the place. He is definitely exploring everything he can. Anything he can get his hands on he does. He is so much more vocal now too. He yells to get attention and talks and sings to his toys and to the TV. He really loves music.
Ethan is also now eating mostly table foods..........he loves his french toast sticks and bananas for breakfast. He plays a game in his high chair , he hides some of his food in the corner!!

Hmmmmmm..."I think I will play with the cats toys too!"

and ...."I think I will move the furniture around...

Uh Oh!!! Ethan figured out how to pull himself up to standing today. He rolled right over to his toy box and saw a toy in there he wanted .....so, he grabbed on and pulled himself right up. He was sooooooo proud of himself too!! He has been practicing over the past week with standing with us and dancing. Or trying to pull himself over and up on the edge of his changing table while changing. He has now also mastered going from sitting to belly and rolling to something he wants and back up to sitting. He does this so fast now, he is a professional!

Finally we can get outdoors more and enjoy the weather!! Well , maybe............. Ethan likes to be outside, it seems to make him very calm and happy. As long as the bugs are no where in sight.

Still no crawling for him...........he just likes to roll still..and he is fast!! He is starting to go up on his knees just slightly and he scoots backwards. He likes to practice standing and he dances the jig while he is up. So very cute..he loves music. He loves to dance and chat to Moose A. Moose and Zee on the Noggin. Ethan has also got his 2 bottom teeth!! He enjoys his new snacks now.....sliced bananas and cheerios!

Look at me..I am a pro at the sippy cup now. As long as it is just water or a tad bit of juice!!

Baptism

On April 15, 2007 Ethan was Baptized. He was soooooooooo good about it too! He wanted to lead the church with the mic. He was even compared to John Travolta by the Pastor. He did look so handsome in his white suit. Family and friends joined us in church and later to celebrate this blessed day with Ethan.

Now that he can maneuver himself, which consists of rolling every which way, he loves to play on the floor with is toys. He rolls to whatever he needs to get and he does it fast...I can't turn my head for a second!

Now that the warmer weather has arrived, Ethan loves to be out and about. He loves the outdoors. He is so fascinated by the birds. He watches them fly back and forth in our yard to the bird feeders. It's like he is studying them.....and tries to talk to them during our walks.

1st Easter

Before we colored eggs..Ethan was just making sure we were doing it right by reading the directions first..hahaha. Then he tested the eggs themselves to make sure they were good enough for the Easter Bunny!

Easter morning Ethan checked out his Easter basket in his crib and Noah wanted to to see what was in there too. The Easter Bunny is pretty smart, he knew Elmo would be a big hit!!

We all had a nice day which started at Grandma and Grandpa Vassar's with an egg hunt and then went to Grandma and Grandpa Begley's for Easter dinner.

Ethan now babbles a lot more, mostly saying mamamamamama or yelling at his toys at this point. He yells at us when in the car from the back seat. Probably "Get me out of here!!!". He doesn't like the car seat too much :(
Since we have had a few nice days recently we have gone for some nice walks. Ethan really likes to sit in his stroller and take in all there is look at.

Ethan's first real snowstorm.We played in the snow..Ethan really liked it..he was actually laughing at the snow. It got cold real fast and he had had enough after about 15 minutes.

With spring right around the corner we got him started young. Already a Red Sox fan!!

WOO HOO!! 1/2 of my first year......................19.2 lbs. and 27 in. long..So Big Already!!

Ethan can just about sit on his own, just needs a little support . He likes to play with all his toys on the floor and has also mastered holding more than one of them at a time.

Also, still the favorite. "The Big Red Car". He stands up so straight in here now. He bounces this thing all around and dances in it while either blowing spit or giggling.

A big fan of his fruits and veggies!! Peaches and Sweet Potatoes seem to be big winners. Ethan is now trying out his sippy cup and doing very well, the first time he grabbed hold of it with both hands.

Ethan's first Valentine's Day was spent in his pajamas..........well, we did have the first snowstorm of the winter . He really enjoyed his paper heart. Something about paper..he just loves it! He got books and of course, Elmo, his best friend. Ethan and Mommy spent all day cooking a nice dinner.

My goodness!! I know, I know....I can say it a million times but..again...He is just growing so fast. So hard to believe !! He has reached so many milestones already. He rolls over, he sleeps through the night, he jumps like there is no tommorrow......He is such a strong little boy. And that he is, he is so much a boy, a rough tough one.

We have once again started on solids .... the first time around did not go so well.....this time is much better.

Ethan just loves his "Big Red Car". He bounces around in it like crazy, pushes all of the buttons to hear the noises and songs.

We enjoy ourselves during the day, playing games and dancing. Yes, he loves to kiss my face, MY WHOLE FACE!!

Ethan's 1st Xmas was so much fun for all of us. He got to meet new family members and see so many more. It was a tiring weekend for all of us but was to be expected.

Ethan decided to sleep in a bit in Mommy and Daddy's bed. I guess we were a little more excited than he was..hahaha

He did enjoy unwrapping presents and playing in the paper.

Ethan got dressed in his Xmas outfit but did not last in it very long due to drooling and blowing rasberries during the day.H especially he enjoyed his rasberry/giggle time with Grandma.

Ethan is sooo active these days!! With only taking two 1/2 hour naps during the day and sleeping pretty much through the night. He is absolutley amazed with his hands. Always watching them and trying to do new things with them. He waves at people often. He is grabbing for things and concentrates very hard while doing so.

Ethan is now sleeping in his bassinet!! Yes, he is out of the papasan seat finally. It was like all of a sudden one night he just decided it was time. He has so much more room to move around.........and that he does...he moves himself completely sideways.

We have also started a little bit of rice cereal which he seems to be ok with so far.

1st Thanksgiving

Ethan's first Thanksgiving was spent stuffing himself all day. I think he knew it was a day to eat because that's all he wanted to do. He dressed in his "fancy slacks" and sweater, oh and don't forget the Pilgrim hat....and spent the day with the family.

I'll show you Mommy..............I just get dressed and then I spit all over myself!!

He is growing and learning so fast. He does new things all the time. He is reaching for objects now that he has kinda figured out how to use his hands, It takes alot of concentration though. Ethan has become quite the chatter box also. He tells us a new story every day.
I got my keys and I am ready to go!!

Ethan does his daily exercises. He likes to sit up all the time. He tries real hard to do this on his own when no one is helping him. He is also trying real hard at "tummy time" to push himself up. Practice, practice, practice!! :)

Ethan now wears an assortment of hats. Wears them all different ways too. Even sports the "Yo baby" look.

He has also learned that his legs do different things. Just yesterday he realized he could bounce and jump on my lap. He did it over and over again. He entertains himself for quite some time now. Likes the TV shows Dora, Backyardigans and Little Einstiens.

Ethan's First Halloween

For Ethan's first Halloween, he was a Lion that turned into a Vampire......we went for cute and scary. It was shared with some family and even trick or treated at Movie Madness.

As each day passes he makes more new faces...he even had his first big giggle the other day..was so cute! We have our daily morning conversation. And the cat wants no part of it...he just takes off.

Believe it or not, this little guy now weighs in at 12 pounds and 3.2 ounces. Also he is 23 inches long. I was wondering why he was feeling heavy..
Ethan smiles so much now. There is nothing like waking up first thing and being greeted by him with that big smile and a couple of coos.

He has finally found his fist. This tends to entertain him for a while. Especially when it is not cooperating with him.

We like to have photo sessions during the day. We surprise Daddy with the cute pictures when he gets home from work.

I can't believe how fast Ethan has grown. Just 6 weeks ago this outfit was swimming on him and now it fits just right. Just look at the comparison...

He really loves his swing, it has become his daytime napping nest.

Noah is trying to quietly sneak a sniff, wondering what is going on. ..He is getting a little more curious.............Ethan now smiles every morning and can immitate the faces I make at him. He has also discovered his hands. Love all the ooo's and aah's!

Ethan is 1 month old today. Amazing that so much time has gone by already. He is so strong already, picking up his head and holding it for a long time, standing up and working his legs. He is very content at night looking all around. He now has alot more alert times during the day also.

Ethan's first bath..........I don't think he liked it very much at first..he screamed!!! But after a while he loved it and just layed there and let the water run over him. I think he was very relaxed.

2 weeks old already!! It definitely does go by fast. Ethans belly button fell off after only being home for a week. So I guess it is time to give the real bath a try. Not that he loved the sponge baths. Ethan has also already gained a pound in a week. As of Friday 8/1/06 he is 7 pounds even! We are still working on the sleeping at night, he just wants to sleep in his papasan seat, does not dig the bassinet. So..whatever works right now................

Ethan came into this world on Saturday 08/19/06 at 1:32 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs. and 5 ozs. and 19 inches long. Yes.. he decided to come a little early but that was ok by us. He definitely has mommys nose and chin. He has daddy's lips and so far his eyes. We love him very much!!

We are still enjoying ourselves at the beach while we still can....

Yet another weekly belly shot. It just keeps on growing and growing now. It is very cool to sit at night and watch the movements now. My belly moves from one side to the other. I told Dave I think he is shy though. He moves so much for me all day long and when I ask him"Did you see that?" he says "no" and then he watches and gets nothing.....I keep getting the feet in the ribs now though, that doesn't feel soo good.

I have been noticing myself getting bigger now. Also, getting uncomfortable sleeping and hips hurting. I guess I am lucky to have felt so good for so long now. Doctor's today= said I am "thinning "......................and Ethan's estmated weight now is 6 lbs. 9 ozs. So yes he growing fast now!!

We went for another ultrasound today and Ethan was measured to be about 4 lbs. 3 ozs. right now. Everything measures out perfectly. We even got his birthday scheduled..hahaha...doctor scheduled an induction for August 28th. So if everything goes as planned that is baby day!!

19 weeks and 6 days

Here is another ultrasound picture where we got to hear the heartbeat which was 147 and found out we were having a boy!!

The first trimester was such a breeze..never had ANY sickness..no weird cravings..felt not even pregnant. I did get hit hard with the moodiness of it though. HAHA, all you have to do is ask Dave or other family members about that. One minute fine the next crying or flipping out.

December 25, 2005............Christmas Day, we found out we were pregnant!!! First thing that morning I took the test and low and behold it came out POSITIVE!! Very exciting..was the the hardest thing to keep a secret all day. Well, actually .....for next couple of months.
