Memorial Day at the Zoo

On May 26, 2008, we spent the day at Southwicks Zoo. It was such a nice day there. Ethan loved all the animals at the zoo. Especially the birds that were whistling and talking back at him. For pretty much most of the day he wanted to be Mr. Independent and not be in his stroller at all. He walked. We saw monkeys, deer, birds, the elephant and giraffe and a lot of others. We also took a train ride through the forest to see some wildlife.


Ethan loved feeding the goats. He was a little skeptical at first but, after I did it then he tried. He was chasing them around trying to feed them all.








Probably his favorite part of the day was the rides. I didn't think he was going to go on by himself but, he got right on and then when it was done, he didn't want to get off. He rode on the cars, the bears that go up in the air and on the carousel.

Baking Cookies

Whenever I am cooking or baking, Ethan likes to be right there watching , he likes to be involved. Especially when there is something sweet involved. He always has a little taste.



And of course..................tasting the final product!!

Copy Cat

Well..........Here we go again, another lawn mowing man. (a family thing) Ethan has gotten this grass cutting thing down. He just follows Daddy. Right down to turning, when he turns, Ethan turns.

SMILE!!

At 21 months old now, Ethan is such a ham sometimes. When you tell him to smile he throws out something that he thinks is a smile. It is so funny to see what he will come out with next.

Spring!! or is it??

Well, Spring has arrived. There was one day that was warm and we finally got to spend a good deal of time outside. Was nice to see Ethan get out in the fresh air and run. He played with his cousin and played with trucks in the dirt!!





















Ethan also found a furry friend who actually ROLLED him in the grass. It was so cute, his hat got knocked right of his head!

Easter 2008

This Easter ....Ethan actually got to color eggs for himself. He was very excited to do it too. He thought it was "funny" to toss the eggs into their cups so that the dye splashed up on all of us!


The Easter Bunny stopped by of course! Ethan was so excited to have fishies in his Easter wheel barrow!! He also got a bunny , coloring book, socks, yard tools, etc.All in all Easter was a busy day with church and all of the family to see and of course Easter dinner.

18 Months Old!

Valentine's Day 2008

This Valentine's Day was a treat filled day. Ethan and I shopped for extra treats, baked a cake and made a summer Valentines meal. He enjoyed some Valentine movies and of course a little chocolate..................and got some sweet gifts too!!

Tool Time

Such a boy!! I think he may be training to be the new handy man around here. Most of the time while playing with his tools he has to have the hat and the watch on. I guess it's just part of the whole look.

Fun in the Snow

Ethan just loves to be outside, whether it is freezing cold out or not. He really loves the snow!! Not that he can move all that well in all his snow gear but he gets around just fine...a few falls here and there.



He just loves to go FAST in his sled!! The faster you go the more he giggles, it is so funny!







Everyone knows how much Ethan likes to help. Well..............he even wanted to shovel the snow. All by himself!!

Christmas 2007

This Christmas..Ethan is 16 months old. It was so much fun to watch him open presents. (even though on some he liked the box better) We could see the excitement in his eyes as he played with his new toys. I would have to say that the "vacuum" was a favorite! Go figure. The holidays were a very tiring time for Ethan but very enjoyable at the same time.
As soon as we put him on his 4-wheeler...................he pushed the button and was off! We didn't have to show him what to do. Well, he did crash the wall. I guess he still needs to learn the steering part.

Also, .....................notice the Bell..............he wore the bell almost every day up to Christmas!! So cute, at least we knew where he was all the time.

Getting ready for the Holidays

Getting out the decorations and putting everything out this year is so much fun. Ethan wants to touch and see everything. He wants to help even with the littlest thing. He just loves all the decorations and all the lights. He helped with both trees and kisses it every day!!

Household Chores

From doing the laundry, vacuuming , emptying the dishwasher, and dusting...........................Ethan likes to "help". If he is not helping out with the vacuuming , he is actually afraid of the vacuum.

Reading is Fun

Ethan has become such a book connoisseur. He just loves his books!! Everyday when he wakes up he goes right into his book basket to start the day off. When you sit on the floor he grabs one and curls right up in your lap to hear a story. We have to constantly keep updating his library.
